Thank you for being so authentic Derrick š. I've been through a turbulent career transition myself, and I resonate with a lot of the struggles and challenges you faced. But I'm glad you had these experiences, because they informed you of your later passions. Following your heart always beats following your head, especially when your head is so often wrong. Hey since you love creating space for connection, mind doing me a favor? Can you find one person that you think I'd get along with and make me an intro? I'd super appreciate it. Other than that, I hope you continue to lean into what feels good to you. Because that's what matters. Onwards and upwards!
Thank you for the kind words, Leo! Iām so glad the piece resonated with you. Keep following your truth. And yeah, Iād love to connect you with someone, let me think about who would be a great fit.
Wow, I love this piece. So glad I finally had a chance to read it.
I also want "A world where weāre all fully appreciated, seen, and valued for our individual gifts." And I believe that doing something (in this case, offering skills in the workplace) that doesn't light something up inside of our hearts is a waste of resources.
I also have never stayed at a job long. So, I deeply resonated with that portion! š These days, I find that I enjoy contracts more - I can do some work for a company without getting too attached to it or having any expectations around co-workers. But, of course, I'd love to be hold ceremonies full time ... so I'm slowly trying to transition into that.
Azalea, Iām sorry for being so late to respond to this!
Thank you for sharing how this resonated with you and your experience. Being able to know what we truly enjoy from our work is so important, and Iām glad to hear your clarity around it. Iām excited to witness your journey into holding ceremonies full-time (obviously Iām manifesting it for you haha)!
